Chicago weddings 2007

The Chicago wedding season is starting again and this year is going to be a great one.

Already certain key months are filling up quickly so why wait to book your wedding video package? The longer you delay the harder it will be to find a professional wedding videographer on your particular date. Traditionally the months that fill up the quickest are May, June, July, Sept, & October. But of course August is still a big month however. And November is quite busy as well.

If you choose to go with our wedding video company, Sureshot Productions right now we have excellent prices that are specially reduced and destined to go up as the season gets into full swing.

Sometimes we add more dates later in the season if we can find some new videographers that have the experience to handle the job to our specifications but don't count on that.

I've been doing weddings for over 2 years now and the biggest obstacle I come across is that not enough brides seem to see a value in a wedding videographer until after the wedding. There are far too many "amateur professional" wedding videographers out there (especially in Denver, Colorado).

Adam I'm sure that happens a lot all over, but it's never has been a problem for me personally. Primarily because we have very reasonably priced packages and more higher end packages as well. And we create very good wedding videos at very reasonable prices. (Having shot well over 400 weddings in 6 or 7 years.) And I've never ever had a bride be dissappointed that they decided to videotape their wedding. In fact just the opposite. They usually are extremely thankful that they videotaped their wedding because they realize that photos are great but it's just not the same thing. Also I send a sample DVD of an actual wedding to every prospective client so they see exactly what to expect and what they would be missing if they didn't videotape their wedding. This gives them a chance to compare the quality to an "amateur professionl" who charges less to shoot their wedding.

To me there is no comparison. I have even edited weddings shot by "so called" professionals and it basically sucks! I would be embarrassed to put my name on that kind of inferior product, but I guess you have to start somewhere I suppose. Often times, the shots are shaky and handheld, the lighting is too dark and they don't use a wireless mike. At least that's what I encountered in my experience.

So if someone's goal is to save a few bucks and get a video, then that's really not a problem and not someone I'm interested in shooting for.

But if the client wants a better quality wedding video at a great price, those are the kinds of clients we normally attract and enjoy working with.
